The first time I ever bought anything from Newegg.com I was a bit worried. I had never put a credit card into the computer before… So I wanted to write a little Newegg Review!
About four years ago, I learned how to put together computers. So my summer projects was to build my first computer.
When I went shopping the first time, I went to Best Buy and I picked out all the parts I needed. They totalled to about $1,800.
Now, as a college student, $1,800 is a bit much. Not to mention, the quality of the parts weren’t probably what they needed to be. I was going to have to mix and match things that I wasn’t necessarily comfortable with.
So, I figured it would be an issue down the road. My professor let me in on a little secret that he had known for quite a while, and that’s to get all of the computer parts through NewEgg.com.
Newegg Review: The Best Computer Retailer In The World?
NewEgg has some amazing prices because they really move so many hard drives and processors and motherboards and everything that they can give you the best deals in the world.
You can get a 1-terabyte hard drive for $59 and the latest greatest processors for something that is equally comparable. It’s really the best place in the world to shop for computer parts.
Newegg Review: The Good And The Bad?
One of the things I try to do on this site is always give you the good and the bad. Frankly, with NewEgg, I have never had a bad experience. They guarantee their delivery and it almost always gets there at least one day before your expected ship day, so much so that you can actually count on it.
I’ve spent probably $25,000 to $30,000 with NewEgg in the last three years and they have never ever disappointed me, which is pretty much the reason why I’m writing this review.
Now, do they ship malfunctional parts every once in a while. Sure they do, but that is just a part of computers. You’re not going to have a hard drive that 100,000 out of 100,000 work. You’re going to have two bad ones. That’s just kind of the issue with assembly lines and manufacturing and everything else.
Newegg Review: The Verdict?
I definitely give five stars to NewEgg.com and if you are ever building a computer or you need a Bluetooth headset, or any of that sort of stuff, anything electronic, make sure they’re your first stop.
You’re going to find some great prices, great quality, great shipping, and you don’t ever have to worry about putting your credit card into the shopping cart. They’re really a rock solid company.
